#BlackExcellence Mary J Blige scores her first TWO Oscar Nominations

So yesterday the Oscar nominations were announced and child I must say that I was shooked at all the black excellence that’s going on. When I saw Mary J Blige on the list I didn’t know how to contain myself I started catching the holy ghost lord.

Ms. Blige has received TWO Oscar nominations one being 'Best Supporting Actress' (Shared with Octavia Spencer) and another for 'Best Original Song' both for the movie Mudbound making her the first person EVER to be nominated for performance and a song in the same year.

Now as we all know auntie Mary has been through so much this past year alone regarding her messy divorce with her money hungry husband KenDONT. Having been already (and quite frankly honest with you finally) receiving her Hollywood Walk of Fame Star earlier this month, Mary has showed us over and over again and no matter what circumstances we go through we can't let any foolishness bring us down we just have to keep going! Congratulations Queen I'm rooting for you!!!!

Also HUGE shout out to Jordan Peele for being nominated for the 'Best Director' and 'Best Original Screenplay' for Get Out while the movie itself is nominated for 'Best Pictures' now if you didn’t know he used his own money to put towards this movie and lowkey easily became one of the best movies of 2017!!!!!! Homeboy is WINNING!!!!

Other nominations included Veteran Actor Denzel Washington and first timer Daniel Kaluuya who are both in the running for the 'Best Actor' category for Roman J. Israel and Get Out!
